.MOV Film Festival

Hey guys, Since we finished our tiny worlds project we decided to do either movie trailers or sitcoms for the .MOV film festival for Kauai. My team with Nick Koo, Brody Smith, and Ashley Alfiler decided to do a movie trailer on how boys often think that they are better than girls so we decided to make a video on how girls beat the and how their change of mind is. Some key words are differences, understanding, and rivalry. WE have to connect these words wit hour audience so ill be doing it one by one. Our audience should connect with understanding because they should understand how boys think that they are better then everyone else in some things. They should connect with rivalry because everyone has fights now and then and should have rivalries. When we think of difference we think of how they are academically and athletically. If you think about it everyone is different but boys and girls are really different.

In our movie every single one of us is in a scene. We have a scene where they are taking a test and they give each other glares and stink eyes. Then we have an athelic scene where they are racing and Brody trups and Ashley stops running and she goes and picks him up. THe overall message that is learned from brody and Nick and that girls can be better then them at somethings. At the beginnig of the trailer they thought that they were better then girls. In the middle Nick gets a C and Mele a gets an A, Brody trips and ashley goes back and helps him up. The overall message or learning experience is from both boys and how they learned that even though they may be good at these things girls can still beat them.

The biggest challenge my team faced was probably editing and filming. This was a big challenge because we had to re film the first two scenes at least 10 times. We had to re film  because nick was eating pizza, Brody was talking, it was blurry, or we were talking while it was filming. We had a challenge editing because we had voice overs with words so we had to line up the voice over with the b-roll. We also had to make sure it was the certain length of 90 seconds minimum and 3:00 minutes maximum. We also had a hard time finding the right sound effect that the computer had. We also had a hard time keeping our mouths shut because someone would be editing and we would be like " Oh put that scene in " or " Don't put that scene in I don't look good in it." We were mainly thinking about ourselves until we found out that it is better if we don't think about ourselves for a minute and we think about the greater good for the team the product or outcome will be much greater.
