<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Hey guys! For our next project we are doing music videos. In our group there is Ashley, Makaio, and Ala my team leader. We are in eighth grade so this is our very last project of our middle school lives! The song we chose was When I was your man by Bruno Mars. Ashley said we should do this song and we all said sure why not. Bruno mars songs most of the time are school appropriate.<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> <span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">We also chose this song because it was also the only other option that we could just say and we would want our parents and Mr. Aiwohi watching and not questioning us about like why this was the song that we chose.<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I think that we can really make a good music video with this song. We were going to do a literal definition of this song but Mr. Sanderl said it might be a little awkward filming.
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">So our storyline for this project is pretty funny. Ashley, Ala, and I all have chickens and it runs away from us to Makaio. I feel that this relates to the music lyrics because it's talking about someone that he used to like leaving him and going on to another boyfriend. But in our version of it we all like this chicken and it leaves us for another person. Which I feel is just like his lyrics but a little less awkward since we are filming with friends. So in the beginning we are all holding a chicken and then the chicken runs out of our hands to makaio. In each shot of storyline it's either ala, Ashley or I trying to get the chicken to come back to us but it ends up going straight to makaio. We keep doing things that we think would be very good to earn a chicken back but Makaio knows how to do it better.
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I think this music video shows that we have learned a lot in this class. My whole team was in here for all three years of our middle school years. So we have the potential to make very high quality work. We have a bunch of shots with composition and very good lighting and scenery. At the beginning we have a bunch of awesome shots. I have two favorite shots in the music video. The first shot in the very first thing you see, it's an opening drone shot of the landscape. The next one is in the middle and it has Ala, Ashley, and me. Ashley is there first and then I appear (with Martha the chicken) then Ala appears. At the end I throw the chicken and let it fly away signifying that we have got over the fact she chose Makaio or us. I really believe it is high quality and that we can win.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">In our new project we are making a movie trailer. My new group is Kalista Brigante, Blossom Novoa, and Wailana Marvin. We have to make a 90- 120 second original movie trailer that can't be what has already been made. The voice actor has to be really committed to the script to make sure that everyone will want to watch the movie if it ever came out and while watching the trailer they keep looking at the screen and not away saying," Turn it off!". In the plan I helped to do the VA script and the Storyboard. I also helped them to film, I brought my gopro so we could have water footage. I helped right what we are going to hear and see in the movie trailer. I am also going to be a character in the movie trailer. Our movie trailer is "Escape" and it's about a surfer who finds wax and uses it. While surfing she falls off her board and wakes up in a different world; there are two girls there along with a doctor. She wakes up in a surprise and the doctor tells her that she is the chosen one.
One big thing that we could've worked on was communicating. Another thing we could've done was getting a day that worked for everyone. Another thing I think we could have done better was making the video longer because it was supposed to be 1:30 seconds but we made it 1:14. Besides these things I think we did really well in creating the story and producing it. When editing we didn't use any transitions which I think made the production quality way higher. I think that the editing and filming was done really well. I feel that we made it super high quality and really good. I think that our teamwork was really good and together we made a really good movie trailer.
I think that I will have to agree with the results because we didn't meet all the requirements. If we made the time limit I feel like we probably would've got better scores. For creativity I feel we did pretty good and the class thought that too. But for audience the class said we did pretty good and i'm happy with that. Overall I thought that we did pretty good but i'm pretty sure we did the best on creativity. That was the one that we got the most above & beyonds. If we made a few tweak adjustments we would have gotten a better grade. But really I thought we did pretty good considering that we had to film in the water and had a few struggles with the camera.
We got to pick our own teams and who we wanted to work with. My team consists of Micah Miller, Taylor Chang and Ashley Alfiler. We had to come up with two focus statements that go in the order noun verb noun for example Rock sprouts flower. After we came up with two focus statements that got approved by mr Sanderl , our teacher, we had to come up with a presentation to get feed back from the class about which idea they think would best work. After the presentation we had to fill out a production plan and storyboard to have an idea of how it would look before we actually shoot it and draw it out. We have to make sure that it fits the time requirement of 1-2 minutes with a custom soundtrack.

Our focus statement is rock sprouts flower. So pretty much a sad drab old looking rock gets thrown and stuff and a small seed is planted but cant grow. A girl finds him and decides she wants to keep him. The love and affection that this seed is getting from the girl makes the seed turn into a sprout then later a flower. So the plot is a rock gets found by a girl and the affection the girl shows for him eventually turns into a beautiful flower. the first scene is of the rock getting thrown and kicked around while it gets kicked around.In the second scene Taylor walks up to the rock and picks it up. She also takes it to the waters edge to get washed off. Then in the third scene Taylor walks home with the rock.After in the fourth scene Taylor brings her rock everywhere she goes including surfing and school. Finally in the fifth scene you can start to see the little sprout everyday the little sprout gets bigger and by the end of the animation the sprout is a big beautiful flower.

I thought the critique results were pretty accurate. We did a lot of things good but we could have made those things better. I thought the audio was pretty good and so were most scenes. The drawing and animating on scene 3 could have been better (animated by me). The scenes that Taylor and Ashley did were really awesome and Micah made some really good soundtracks. I thought that the scene I made could have been more high quality. I agreed with the critique because the understanding could have been more clearer and we could have portrayed it so it was easier to understand but it was pretty good overall I thought. I thought that we did really good with originality and executing our idea.
In this next project we were asigned to make a low poly image in photoshop. Smiling is something people do around the world. But in different countries it means different thing like in the united states smiling is more of showing respect for someone while in Switzerland they say they are one of the most happiest people yet don't really smile. Smiling doesn't have to deal with the happines of life it is what you are taught. But overall where ever you are everyone will have a facial expression on their faces even though it may not be a smile.

Either with the eye dropper tool and Alt+delete or filter blur average then for all the other triangles command f. The very first one we did we made outlines and then filled them in. <span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: 14.6667px; white-space: pre-wrap;">When we did the first one this was part of the outline steps. We had all the outlines say for our eyes we would select all the layers and merge them together and rename it eyes to help us keep organized; we did that for all of our features. After we finished the triangle in all of our features and liked it we would merge all the lines together.<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: 14.6667px; white-space: pre-wrap;"> For the second one we went straight into the lasso tool and coloring it in. The very last one we used a combo of both and a new one for the breaking glass effect.

When we did the first one we had a little more control on how big and small the triangle were and kinda how we wanted it to look. But with the second and third one we had way more control then the easy. We could hand pick the colors ourselves then the computer choosing it for us. We got to go in with the eye dropper and pick what colors we wanted and we got to make the background look super nice. I think one thing that the easy had that the others didn't was how fast it made it. Because it was made by a computer it was created in seconds while the other three took a while because you had to outline or pick the color you wanted. But I liked that we had a lot more freedom in the others than we had in the easy. I like the difference between the first two because in the poly-1 its kinda dark and not that bright. But in the poly-2 its really bright and looks a lot like her.

<span style="font-family: "arial"; white-space: pre-wrap;">

<span style="font-family: "arial"; white-space: pre-wrap;">We are on to our second project called retime nature. We go out and take time lapses and slow motion videos. We are sticking with our theme of poetry and making a 60 second video of nature. There are many ways that nature impacts my life. One way is that I love to hunt and hike, if there was no nature there would be no interesting places to hike and no place for animals to live so i wouldn't be able to hunt anywhere. I go to the beach at least one a week and that is like my safe place. I like to go there when I feel angry or sad because the water cools me down and makes me feel very calm. Certain places in nature has a certain impact on me like Anahola beach is where my Great-Grandma was scattered is where I like to be almost all the time I get to go to the beach.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">Time lapses are videos that have are set to take a certain amount of frames every second. Slow-mos are videos that have been slowed down to make everything seem slower. There are different ways to actually create time lapses and slow mos. One way that you can create a time lapse is with your phone. If you have an Iphone there is a time lapse and slow mo feature is you scroll all the options to the left. The other way to create them is taking a normal video with either a camera or phone and uploading it onto your computer. You can use final cut pro's re time editing tool to speed up your clip or slow it down. If you try to create a slow mo with final cut pro it doesn't look as normal as it would on a phone but time lapses come out just fine.
<span style="font-family: "arial";">

<span style="font-family: "arial";">The hardest part of this project was probably catching a really nice sunset because every night for the past few days has like a really pink sky but gray clouds were covering them up. Something else that was hard was creating my poem because I wanted it to be meaningful and make sense. My favorite part about this project was probably filming the sunrises because it make me think of how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place and get to wake up everyday. Waking up early to shoot the sunrises didn't bother me because I get up at six and the sun actually comes up at around 6:20. I also liked that I got to use Final cut pro because I never got to use it before since we were always using Imovie. I also liked that we could work by our selves first because we get to practice using Final cut pro before working in a team.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">Critique Reflection:
<span style="font-family: "arial";">I agree with the critiques but the thing I could have done better in is the text layovers. I feel that I could have added colors and different fonts to make it pop and look different. I could have also re filmed some of the shots cause they were a little shaky. Other than that I thought that I did pretty good.

I decided to keep this one because it has all of my 6 and 7 grade work, since I chose to do this I will now have all of my middle school work on here: Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth!!! Our first project as 8th grade G.T students is creating a poetic design. I think that poetry is a way for people to expresses how they think about the things revolving around them. I also think poetry is a literature that uses sounds and symbols that help create meaning of the poem. Poetry is a form of art that uses words instead of paint and crayons. I feel that Poetry is used as a way for people to express their feelings and their way of thinking.

The rhythm of rhyme I used in my poetic statement is aa,bb,cc. It rhymes for two sentences then changes to another rhyme then repeats the pattern. I used rhyme because in poems it tends to rhyme a lot and because in order to write this paragraph I had to use it. Rhyme is the easiest one for me because I know a lot of rhyming words and there are a lot of websites that help you find rhyming words. When it comes to rhythm it is a bit harder because you actually have to come up with the rhythm your self.But it can also be easy if you use the rhyming words .When something has rhythm it flows into the next sentence and so forth.
HEY!!!! Summer is super close and ususally our last project is my favorite of all time.......... MUSIC VIDEOS. This year my teammates are Ashley Alfiler, and Julie Castro. We all have songs that we like to listen too but I guess when it come time to pick a song all the songs you listen to vanish from your mind so we went with the first idea that was given. The song that Ashley picked was sit still look pretty by Daya. Our storyline matches perfectly with our lyrics because we have a girl crying because a boy dabbed on her in the beginning and then walk away. Then in the end she walk up to him then dabbed on him.

Fast editing montage sequencing is an editing technique that cuts the video to make it more interesting. In our music video we used this technique a bunch of times to make our video more interesting. My favorite fast montage sequence is where Julie, Ashley, and Me and standing in the middle of the field and at first i am in normal clothes and then when it comes back down I have nice clothes. Another one of my favorite shots is where there is a wide of Ashley crying and me and Julie come to cheer her up. Then we have a close of us patting her back and talking to her. Then we have another wide of all of us walking away while having fun! I think that when you use this it makes things more interesting and funner to watch. When editing you have to make it precise especially in music videos because you want the lip-sync to match the words or else it will look off and weird. In our music video we had to make sure that the lip-sync and the fast editing montage sequence matched and looked really nice.

This music video showcases my best work because we had to plan, use iMovie, Photoshop, and even filming techniques. Since we couldn't use our " music play back device" or a.k.a or phones we needed to film out of school so we had to plan where we were gonna go and film and how we were gonna get there and what we were gonna do. We learned how to use iMovie last year but this year we actually get the chance to figure it out and find out how to use it fully. In photoshop we have a hate/love relationship because sometimes it makes the most beautiful things and then sometimes it totally shuts down and we can't work on it. In iMovie it was hard because last year almost every time I tried to help edit they would say go do something else so i didn't really get that full knowledge I got just enough to know how to break things and add transitions

My Team mates were William and Andrew. They were really chill and like to laugh and crack jokes. Andrew is one of those people who like to crack really funny jokes. William is one of those sparkle plentys who like to get his work done on time and neat. Then there's me, i'm like both of them combined. If the projects important I do it like many days before, If it doesn't seem important to me than I do it the night before. I also like to help people fix their problems and find fun things to do. In our story it exaggertaes these features by having me go help them find things they like to do. Then they practice a lot.
In our story we use humor in andrew's part when he is trying to practice telling jokes. In the script I laugh but my laugh is a sarcastic laugh. Our life lesson is that you should do something with your life and not just sit on the couch doing nothing. I think that this relates to the audience because they all have something that they are passionate for and could not be doing it but after watching maybe they would want to do what they like to do. Take andrew in the movie at first he was doing a silly chicken dance then when i met him they got motivated to do that.

Considering that we never worked together ever before our productivity levels were pretty high. Unlike if I worked with some friends I stayed pretty in the lines and didn't talk as much as I would of with my friends. The best moment during production was probably when we were all working really hard to get the scenes done. I think one of the biggest challenges were probably trying to get all the animation b- roll to fit the audio. Other than that we worked really good and were really great as a team, I think so anyway.
In this first paragraph my teacher Mr. Sanderl asked us to share what kind of people we are and some imperfections. Im the kind of person that cares about her family and friends, and always worries about her grades. Im also the kind of person that likes to get her work done but also is a really big procrastinator. Some funny imperfections that I have is that when people eat with their mouth open I get irrated by that. I also get irrated with the noise your mouth makes when you chew food like a cow. Another imperfection that I have is when someone says something or does something weird I slap them.

SOme character traits that I plan to exaggerate while animating myself is my humourous side. I will add in some dance moves like the dab. I will also add in the character trait of me being quiet and me being really talkitive . I also plan to exaggerate my stupidity. I feel like I know a lot of stuff because i'm in honors and G.T but then when I dont know an answer I usually have my friend ashley in those classes so I will be like, Ashley what do we do or Ashley I need help. I could add in my character trait of dancing and dabbing by using puppet warp. I could use the puppet warp to make my mouth move and have like the words from a text box. For me to ask really dumb questions I could add in a text box while using the puppet warp to move my mouth.

When I created my .GIF we first had to take pictures. Mr. Sanderl my teacher took pictures of us in front of a green screen so that it would be easier to cut out. When we cut ourselves out we used the quick selection tool which " quickly selects" what your trying cut out really easyily. Next step to making our .gif animation is creating a new document with the name of KeaweM_Character. We then drag our picture that we cut out into that file. When you go into that file you have to make sure that it is in the window called animation. After that you pretty much add new frames and and new layer so that you can puppet warp. When you finish the animation make all the frames 0.1 seconds so it's fast enough to see it all and look interesting. When you finish it at the end make sure that you save it for web & devices. The lower the percentage the faster it will load.
My team with Nick Koo, Brody Smith, and Ashley Alfiler decided to do a movie trailer on how boys often think that they are better than girls so we decided to make a video on how girls beat the and how their change of mind is. Some key words are differences, understanding, and rivalry. WE have to connect these words wit hour audience so ill be doing it one by one. Our audience should connect with understanding because they should understand how boys think that they are better then everyone else in some things. They should connect with rivalry because everyone has fights now and then and should have rivalries. When we think of difference we think of how they are academically and athletically. If you think about it everyone is different but boys and girls are really different.

In our movie every single one of us is in a scene. We have a scene where they are taking a test and they give each other glares and stink eyes. Then we have an athelic scene where they are racing and Brody trups and Ashley stops running and she goes and picks him up. THe overall message that is learned from brody and Nick and that girls can be better then them at somethings. At the beginnig of the trailer they thought that they were better then girls. In the middle Nick gets a C and Mele a gets an A, Brody trips and ashley goes back and helps him up. The overall message or learning experience is from both boys and how they learned that even though they may be good at these things girls can still beat them.

The biggest challenge my team faced was probably editing and filming. This was a big challenge because we had to re film the first two scenes at least 10 times. We had to re film because nick was eating pizza, Brody was talking, it was blurry, or we were talking while it was filming. We had a challenge editing because we had voice overs with words so we had to line up the voice over with the b-roll. We also had to make sure it was the certain length of 90 seconds minimum and 3:00 minutes maximum. We also had a hard time finding the right sound effect that the computer had. We also had a hard time keeping our mouths shut because someone would be editing and we would be like " Oh put that scene in " or " Don't put that scene in I don't look good in it." We were mainly thinking about ourselves until we found out that it is better if we don't think about ourselves for a minute and we think about the greater good for the team the product or outcome will be much greater.

Hey guys, I would like to introduce our new project. In our new project my class and I are making polar panoramas and spherical panos. Well composite images are created from combing several different pictures to go beyond the limitations of a camera. With one picture it wouldn't be as high quality as a normal picture. The point of composite images is to go BEYOND the limitations of a normal camera. A normal camera doesn't take 10 different pictures and put them together. When you take composite pictures it makes your picture better because you get one big picture to make it look really cool.

Two composite images we are doing right now is polar and spherical panos. Polar and spherical panos are different because polar panos look like little tiny worlds. Spherical panos look like a crystal ball. The polar pano looks like it could be a world in a world. It looks like a world because the background is black and the pictures is feathered so that it fades into the outer darkness. The polar panoramas also look more realistic because they have a feathered and black background. If you added some other planters with it it will look like a solar system.

So my finished and final tiny worlds will look very convincing because they have a black background and they have a feathered fade in it. The feather will make it look really cool because it acts like a fade and the world is in outer darkness. The other reason why it makes it look really convincing is the fact that it is in a ball and it looks like I'm standing in that ball. When I put my portrait in there I am going to make it look like i am coming out of the world because I'm gonna add a shadow effect on it to make it look like the sun is facing me and i'm not melting.
Hey guys, Welcome back. Mr. Sanderl my teacher, gave us a new project. THis project is about photomontages and David Hockney. SO first off what is a photomontage, a photomontage is a bunch of photos arranged to create a new picture or abstract art. Now that we know what a photomontage is, who is David Hockney. David Hockney is one of the most influential pop artist in the 20 century known for making photomontages. David Hockney's Photomontages are different then mines because mines are not taken correctly and his are taken with high quality camera's like the best cannons and nikons.
Images can send all kinds of messages. Some can be positive and others can be very negative. One positive image for me on my instagram would be of daily scriptures that I read. Another example would be a picture of the beach and have a really good and uplifting quote. An example of negative messages is cyberbullying. People are very cruel and they like to bully others. WHen you post good things it will make people feel better about themselves and they will be more positive about themselves. WHen you post negative things that send a negative vibe things can get nasty because it means that you are bullying people and putting them down.

I also want them to see that I like to surf. In this picture I wanted to go to my favorite place to be and that was in Anahola. I really like that I could get the horizon line to go actually straight and not all up down and look like the planet is all messed up. I think that if I moved a little more to the right I wouldn't get that coconut in the photo. Other than that I think that if I just add a little more color it would be perfect. When you look at my photomontage I wanted people to see both the sand and the ocean.

Happy New Year!!! Now that I am in school again my teacher, Mr. Sanderl, has given us a post again. In this post we will be talking about our goals for 2016. I will be sharing 5 of my most important goals that I want to accomplish this year. A goal I want to accomplish this year is being able to take gnarly pictures that inspires me. Another goal that I would like to accomplish this year would have to be get better at surfing and bodyboarding. In 2015 I learned how to throw net and dive at night. This year I would like to become an expert at doing this. Overcoming my fear of heights and sharks is my main goal for 2016.Another goal I want to success this year is hike over 40 miles this summer and catch at least 1 goat and 1 pig. I would also like to get faster for sports and to just be in shape. I think overall most of my goals is too be fit and in shape.

The most important goal that I would like to accomplish this year is overcoming my fear of sharks and height. I would like to overcome these fears because I am going back to Disneyland and California adventure. I am going back to Disneyland because my Tutu is retiring this year I would like to celebrate it with us. In California Adventure there is this one particular ride I would like to go on called California Screamin'. The last time I went to disneyland I didn't go on this ride because I was too chicken but this year that will change. When you first go on the ride it starts off at like 60 MILES an hour!!! Then there is all those big dips and the dip at the end that is really high and I think that I would die but I will never know unless I try. Being able to conquer my fear of sharks would be wonderful because every time I go night diving or surfing I freak out. There is this one particular Hawaiian legend that talks about amakuas or guardians. My amakua's are the owl and shark. I think that this should calm me down because it's supposed to be my guardian and protect me.

Sooooo in order to make sure that I get this goal down I will have to go through a series of steps. My first step for the sharks problem is to research on sharks and how to see if they are aggressive at the moment or not. My first step for my height problem is too ask my sister about how the heights really feel. THen for both my second steps I will practice it out on easy rides like the fireball and baby sharks on the south shore. When I get to the third step it will depend on how the second step and if it doesn't work out then I will research some ore but if it does work out then I will go in with even bigger things like Tower of terror and reef sharks. Then it will co e to the day when I can go into the water with blue sharks and lemon sharks and not get killed. I will also go on rides with the biggest drops like California screamin' and be happy. When this is all over my fears will be accomplished and I can learn something new about myself. In the end I think these are pretty easy fears to overcome because some people are afraid of clowns, lizards, spiders, and dogs so it can't be that hard to overcome.
User experience influenced my games because I had no idea what was going on. Every time I had a question I really was like let me google this or let me find a game or even let me find a tutorial. One time I even learned how to make a very simple plat former game from a 8 or 9 year old girl and her father. My chase game was actually pretty easy to make because it was pretty strict and you knew exactly what to do and how to do it. I had no idea what was going on because it is very knew to me and I am not smart like all these new six graders like Meah, Tyler, and Alexis who actually made wonderful games.

Each of my games were pretty complex with all the coding. If I had to pick any of the games I made and games I'm gonna make it would probably have to be operation freedom. In both of my games they use very simple codes because I didn't want to push myself hard enough, I think that if I push myself really hard I could make a game like Kyhler. In operation freedom some goals are that they need to be of your highest standards and really challenging, complex, and high-level directions and requirements. Both my games are very different one of them is very well thought and another has like 10 bugs in there that I am trying to figure out.

Chase game code

My best code was probably the code that was in my chase game. In the screen shot on the left it show my chase game code and I think that this was my best code because it had the best turn out then all my other ones. These codes turned out the best because they were fairly simple and I could do it without any bugs. My biggest bug was the bug that was stuck in my plat former. My plat former was bugged up because in the process of trying to make the backgrounds change so that there would be two levels were hard and the fact that when it started the words were not starting when the game started.
I was really scared when doing this project because I didn't think my idea would be good enough and thought that they wouldn't like it.

Ala had most of everything because he's awesome at it. If you hatched the video he did an amazing job at talking and editing. Makaio was an awesome photographer and had a lot awesome shots. I have to admit that I can't do anything as good as them. When trying to film our last project I couldn't even talk into the camera because I stutter. When filming I have to give credit to them because they may not seem like they don't do anything in class but when we go out of school to film they are focused the whole time until we are done.

Hey everyone Mr. Sanderl gave us a little test on composition technique and I got all of them right except for leading lines. I thought leading lines was the most important because half the class got it wrong. I was one of those people because I didn't really get it but if Mr. Sanderl gave us another test I would ACE it. If I asked you right now would you say yes or no. If your answer yes your wrong even though the kite looks like it's leading to the person. Well now look at the next picture of the tire tracks on the beach. Would you guess that this is leading lines? Well this is leading lines because it is pointing to the trees in the background.Well now you know a little bit about leading lines just like me.

The most difficult for me was color in contrast. <span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Color in contrast was hard for me because I don't use it as often and don't know how to use it.I can use color in contrast for when I need thing to pop out and stand out. Some things I could make pop using color in contrast is people, flowers, plants and even words on text. If you put people in whtie and put them by trees it is color in contrast because it's white with green. When I took my picture of color in contrast I didn't make it work because there were dead flowers in it and they were both nature.

With my team of three there was Alakai Gonsalves, Makaio Gonsalves, and me. If you didn't know this already I don't want anybody thinking that Alakai and Makaio are brothers cause they are Cousins. Ala likes to Play basketball and he likes to build things. Makaio likes to play soccer and lives in Anahola. Makaio, Ala and I are really close so this project seemed easy but we didn't want to say anything that hurt anybody. I like to do archery and hunt. In this project Makaio was like the model because all of us didn't want to really be in the picture. I was like the camera man because I was good at filming. Ala was the main editing man because he knew where everything is and how good it would be.

Did you know that famous basketball player Chris Bosh is learning to code.Yellow everyone, This project that we're working on is a coding project. Some of the sixth graders are saying we should learn how to do it. So I think everyone should learn how to code because it is very key in how to get a job. A lot of high paying jobs will except you if you know how to code because there isn't very much coders in the world. Even Famous people like Will.i.am even learned to code, You don't have to be famous to code but it may make you famous.

Well the very first time i've coded was just a few weeks ago and it was pretty fun. I went onto code.org with Mr. Sanderl my teacher and did the very first lesson at first it didn't make any sense. I thought that the funnest one was the flappy bird lesson because it felt like you were making your own app with easy codes.It was really easy until level ten when you had to use the repeat button. Overall I think it was a very good experience because now I pretty much know how to code and can make my own app if I wanted to even.

If I could design an app that you can download onto any Device and it can give you ideas of things to do and if you need to buy anything it will tell u the exact place. I would create an app like this because sometimes I get bored and I want to go on Pinterest but it doesn't tell me where to buy the thing so with this app I would be able to do projects. I think that people would want this app on their phone because they want to bake stuff and make projects but they can't find where it's located. I would create this app using all the things that Mr. Sanderl taught me because I'm still not used to this. I would even use this app when I'm at home and is nothing to do and I can't watch a video because whatever reason and I'm just sitting there doing nothing.

What's up everyone!! The most important thing I've learned from this project was probably to copy your work before you edit it your HTML because on Thursday I had to make it all over because I deleted it all. I felt very stupid but then I looked at everything else I learned. Like how I learned that when you work with yourself it can be harder since you have no one to lean on except yourself. Especially since you have to work on a lot of sin a very short time and you always leave it for the week before the project is due. Another thing I learned is Patience because when working with yourself you always feel like it isn't gonna be the best and lower your self confidence. In all I learned that when working by yourself you can have a very very very hard time.

Pad is when you add extra rolling time to your film. You should add pad to your film because when you don't your voice or monologue gets cut off. I added pad to my film hopefully because I knew that it was crucial. I also did to my partners Ashley Alfiler and not sure if she did the same for me. If you haven't already you should go and check my work and see if I did. When you are finished watching you should go and comment and tell me if you did. When I think padding your clips I think of adding extra protection to my film.

Okay guys I don't want to admit this but my biggest weakness was the lighting. Lighting was my biggest challenge because I was filming on the inside of my house and the lighting wasn't very good. My biggest strength was probably getting my 5 year old brother (at the time 4) to help me with this project. I practically bribed him into doing this by telling him I would make him caramel popcorn, ice cream, and giving him money. One way I could improve is by leaving more pad not in film but in time. I should have left pad in time so I wasn't rushing and I could have added music, more transitions, and maybe even effects.
So in this blog post you are making a 30- 60 second joke video. Humor is an important character trait because most of the time it reveals who you are and how you act. Humor isn't just going on a stage and making people laugh because anyone can do that. Humor is about having empathy towards your audience and actually think about your audience. For example say your at a party with a bunch of Portuguese, you wouldn't be going around saying Portuguese jokes like " What did the Portuguese do at the stop sign? I don't know he's still there" kind of jokes. You would want to say something appropriate.

Okay so I will be giving you 5 tips on how to right a HUMOROUS narrative . One tip I would say would be to just use things in your everyday life that is boring and make them seem really funny. Somethings you could use can be dishes, laundry, siblings, school, and many more things. My second tip would be use sarcasm to make the most boring thing sound hilarious. When writing a story you probably want to make sure that they are appropriate to the audience. SO when going to a party and telling jokes make sure they are appropriate to that age group or ethnic group you will be sharing this joke with. If you are going to be publishing your joke you should try to stay away from ethnic joke so you don't offend anyone. One more tip I had in mind was to just be yourself in writing to speaking. When I say be yourself I mean use the same hand gestures you would when talking to friends or family. My last tip I would give you would be to be original and try not to copy a joke that is already made.

My comedic monologue was on my siblings and how they use to be super mean to me. I used sarcasm to make it sound funny. I basically did everything siblings do to irritate each other. I think it is funny because everyone knows that getting your toys and things your playing with taken away isn't fun but when I said it it sounded super fun. Another reason why I think my monologue is funny is because I used my everyday life to make it funny. I used things that made me annoyed and it turned out funny. When I had to come up with the idea I ton of ideas pop into mind and the very best one being my siblings. The way my siblings treat me because im older isn't always the very nicest like when they demand me to tie their shoe or make them dinner.

Some of the requirements are that we need 2 text layers one will have our Manifesto and the other will have our Personal quotes. 4 pictures are needed to make this complete, three picture were my symbolic pictures and the last picture was a portrait of my face. If I have all of these pictures and requirements then I will get a 4/4 or in other words an A. This Motivational project was due Friday August 28, 2015. Some of the design requirements were that all text layers should have been kerned so that there was no white spaces. I had a triadic color scheme which consisted of a light purple as the dominant color, a neon green as one of the harmonious colors and the last color was a bright orange. Blending options was not exactly an option, I added a bevel and emboss, a stroke, and an outer glow. Although you can't see my outer glow there is one. Color balance, levels, and exposure was somethings I used on my project, Curves was another thing you could have used but I don't always like using curves. TO distribute equal distribution I made it so that all the lines were kind of on the other picture. Since I did all these requirements I got a 4/4 on my design requirements.

Starting from the beginning I went to Photoshop and pressed command and N at the same time to make a project. Once I had my project I put my personal quotes into layer 1 and started Kerning the personal quotes into a box in the right had corner. Then I added a new layer and named it manifesto, I then copied and pasted my manifesto from my last blog post and Kerned that until I had it like I wanted it. I then had my pictures of me, clouds, my bow, and my friend basil the pig put into my document. I then made visual balance between my pictures and added my manifesto and personal quotes. I then added blending options in the colors neon, orange, and purple.

My biggest challenge was probably kerning. Kerning was the biggest challenge because it took the longest. I found out that having to kern is way harder then adding options on your layers or adding your options onto your pictures. I overcame this challenge by having patience with myself and my project. I also over came this challenge with the help of peer editing like having my friends say if it should stay like this or change it. I asked Julie, Ala, and Makaio if it looked good or not and they told me it was god but I wasn't sure. If I needed help with Kerning it right I asked them too, Even when I needed some of the letters to move more up to fix it I asked my 6th grade partner Tyler Tanaka.
Hey guys my name is Meleana and if you guys didn't know this I love to hunt and hike. Five interesting facts about me are that I hiked over 30 miles this summer. I love to dive, throw net, and catch fish. I only have one sister and two brothers and I am the oldest of the family. I currently live in Anahola and go to the beach almost all the time. Currently I love photography and think that Silhouettes and sunset photography is the best because it looks cool. Somethings that i'm scared of is night diving because I start to think a shark is gonna bite me. Im also scared of big drops like California Screamin since your going up a hill at 60 miles an hour and drop straight down. My favorite color is purple.

Be happy often. Life is simple, Life is grand. Live life to the fullest. You are beautiful, think that everyday. Listen to the good, Keep out the bad. Explore. Travel. Dream big, even when your small. Discover. Learn. Grow. Eat. Love is patient, even when your not. Say yes to things you enjoy. Say no to things you don't. If you don't love what you do, Quit and do what you love. Don't give up. Stay living. Don't give up on yourself. Bound by fear. Bound by love. Bound by yourself. Wake up early. Go sleep late. Be awesome. Stay awesome. Love, Laugh, Live. Strength. Hunt. Travel to New Zealand. Hike.Practice. Cook often. Work out. Stay healthy. Live long. If somethings not working out, do something different.Share. Listen to music. Risk. DO it. Smile.
I have just wrote a personal manifesto. My manifesto applies to my readers because everyone must be afraid of something and likes to stay awesome like me. I think that everyone grows, eats, and learns at least everyone. I'm pretty sure that you must love at least someone in your family and if you don't have family I'm sure you have a really good friend. I know that I'm lucky enough to have good friends and family and I want to thank my mom for helping me a lot in work.
The songs lyrics make me feel very powerful and feel like I have someone that care for me. I like most of the chorus for that song like, Sugar yes please won't you come and bring it down on me. Sugars official music video makes me laugh because they are crashing real weddings in L.A and the people are like what the heck but then the curtains go down and everyone just starts screaming. I think that this song is very catchy and that a lot of people listen to it. A group in our class is singing this song and I would like to see how they act it out.
My team this project was Makaio, Ala, and Me.The song our team picked was Everybody got someone but me by Hunter Hayes. We picked this song because Makaio was like hey guys do you want to do the song by hunter Hayes featuring Jason Mraz. We didn't have any other song we agree to also. This song is mainly a love song and how they are at the park singing and everyone around them has someone to love but they don't. Jason Mraz is so desperate that he tries to engage and have a relationship with someone who is around 70 years old. Soon after this this old lady was soon approached by her husband who gave her the hearing aid she was missing. At the end both singer left the park on separate benches alone with no one.

The Visual story that our music video will show is three kids waking up doing their own thing and then at the end they meet each other. My job in this video will be lip syncing at the field looking at all the kids who have friends and people to play with. Makaio's job in this video is to lip sync and pretend to fall asleep in one of his classes and then wake up and start to lip sync. Ala plays a huge part in this story because he walks down the hall alone and films almost all the scenes and edits them with the help of me and Makaio. At the end we all "coincidentally" go to the park and meet each other. In the end instead of the ending that the music video gave the people we gave them our own twist, so that they would get friends and not be alone.
In this short video there is both sadness and happiness. This focus statement tells our story because we thought that everyone could relate to it and we wanted to chose a very easy story. Almost all the other teams chose a happy topic with some sadness. In the middle of the story Asha moves away and Lani gets filled with sadness. She gets help from her conscience which was a bird, that we animated in photoshop.

The lesson our audience is learning is that if you have a loved one that moves aways than you should let them go. We felt that everyone could relate to this story somehow. Most people say "move on" because they don't want you to feel bad but for the people that have to deal with the situation don't think it is that easy. Sometimes the people could be your mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, or any other family member. In the end we hoped that our audience learned that the only way to let some one go if they leave to let them and hopefully they will come back.
These were the worst parts of our project because only me and Makaio would come in. At the end we would all come in for lunch because we knew it was important. We started to work together more towards the end. Our team could never meet after school because Lani has practice one day, the next day I had practice, then Makaio. In the end we created something very wonderful and we were proud of it.

Stop motion animation is where you take multiple pictures and load them into Photoshop and then you get an animation.To create a stop motion animation you take a bunch of pictures that describes what a person is doing, in this you can make it seem like someone is flying, sliding, front flipping, and anything you want. GIF is short for the words Graphics Interchange format. You can make really cool GIF with Photoshop, to export these gifs you go like this: File>save for web and devices and you want to chose around 16 to 128. We have been using these on our latest project. When you use Gifs you allow people to see it online.
Our group chose to tell Lani's story on how she once lost a very close friend. You should care because most of the time everyone goes through having someone of great meaning lost. Some of these people could be your grandparent, a best friend, your cousin or anybody close. We chose Lani's story because we didn't have anything else and we thought it would be pretty cool tho do a tragic story. Another reason why you should care is because everybody else chose like a happy topic and we wanted to be unique.
